Built in 1997, these homes won the Best Design Award on completion. With human scale buildings and a thriving community, this is a unique and rich multicultural hub. We call on One Housing to respect the results of the ballot which voted against demolition and redevelopment and look after their tenants by refurbishing and retrofitting our homes.


THE BALLOT ON DEMOLITION AND REDEVELOPMENT
The community in Gilbeys Yard and Juniper Crescent have had to live with the threat of redevelopment for the last three years
in July 2020 One Housing held a ballot of all the tenants and residents on the two estates. The results were 91 votes against redevelopment and 61 in favour. One Housing are now refusing to respect the results of the ballot and are preparing to begin the whole process again which completely undermines the purpose of the ballot and the wishes of the majority of the tenants and residents

Juniper Crescent is the sister estate to Gilbeys Yard

Situated on the Chalk Farm side of Morrisons, Juniper Crescent is the larger of the two estates with 120 homes. The homes on the two estates have similar designs and the two communities have many connections whilst still retaining their own individual identities
Juniper Crescent is built as an enclosure with two entrances. The crescent faces inwards, with all the gardens and balconies inside.
